WOULD HE DIE FOR ONE?

IF ALL humanity were perfect except fifty sinners who stood in need of God's grace, would Jesus Christ our Saviour undergo the same passion and death as he did 2,000 years ago for the sake of the entire world?  [cf. Gen 18:23-33]  By all means, for the Lord himself commanded, "Gather up the fragments left over, that nothing may be lost."  [Jn 6:12]  Suppose only thirty sinners were in need of salvation, would Christ Jesus offer his Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity for so few people?

PLAINLY FOR, the "Son of man came to seek and to save the lost".  [Lk 19:10]  If there were but ten persons whose sins condemned them, would Christ go to the cross to save them? There is no doubt, because Christ said, "Today salvation has come to this house."  [Lk 19:9]  If only one sinner were to be found in humanity, would Jesus Christ die for him? Most assuredly, Yes. "It is not the will of my Father who is in heaven," says Jesus, "that one of these little ones should perish."  [Mt 18:14]
