O LORD, YOUR LOVE
YOU, O God, are beautiful and good. Your goodness is written on our hearts. Our debt to you is beyond calculation. How can we pay it? What do we have that you need or want? Accept our love, O God, as if we could pay love's debt to love. But you have shown us favor. Accept the gift of our grateful hearts. Our lips will proclaim the praise and glory of our gracious Lord.
O GOD, your two-edged sword will reveal humanity's words and deeds in the hour of your glory. How well have we accepted your love? How well have we shared your love? O Lord, your love has fallen on good soil! Watered and cultivated, it has multiplied thirty times more in a great harvest, even to sixty and a hundred times over!
YOU, LORD Jesus, are very near the unborn! Teach us to respect, to honor, to celebrate, to love all human life, especially the innocent and defenseless. Help us to see in all unborn children the praise of humanity and the glory of human personhood.
LORD, OUR God, we are grateful to you for life, for the creation and sustenance of our very lives. Let the blessing of your name be received as the treasury of nations. This is our prayer to you, Father, through the Son and in the Holy Spirit. Amen.
